We’re teaming up with the Ticket to Dream Foundation to provide local foster teens with gifts and new clothing this Holiday season. With your help we can bring joy, laughter, and magic back to the holidays for foster youth.
The holidays can be a particularly isolating time of year for our nation’s 420,000 foster children as it reminds them of the families and friends left behind and the permanent families they long to have. Foster families are also spread thin trying to juggle multiple responsibilities, stretching already strained budgets, and may even receive new children just days before the holidays begin.
We’ll be collecting new clothing like jeans, sweatshirts and unwrapped gifts for foster teens through XXX. To learn more about Ticket to Dream, please visit www.tickettodream.org. Thanks for joining us in helping foster kids just be kids for the holidays!
Must be new; all participants receive a $25 gift certificate, which can be dropped off at either location; for the "ticket to dream foundation," Smashsacramento will be donating as well; last day to drop off is the 20th.
